Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and Julia uses a combination of Facial and Auricular Acupuncture to help enhance her holistic treatments.
Acupuncture, although relatively new to the West, has been used in China since the Song Dynasty (960AD – 1279AD) to combat the signs of ageing and to help with various skin conditions. When the whole face is treated and body points are also used, a patient's health and wellbeing can be greatly improved. Clients often report that they feel healthier, sleep better, have brighter eyes and feel more balanced after acupuncture.
Auricular Acupuncture is a Microsystem of Acupuncture which reflects the entire body on the ear. There are over 200 acupuncture points on each ear. The outer ear acts like a switchboard to the brain. Each acupuncture point triggers electrical impulses from the ear via the brain, to the specific part of the body being treated. Physical, emotional and mental conditions can be treated by stimulating points on the ear. When used with Essential Oils, this becomes a beautiful holistic treatment, bringing balance and harmony to body and mind.
Cosmetic acupuncture has been around for thousands of years as a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This treatment can provide a solution for a number of facial conditions ranging from wrinkles to acne. While we commonly think of face lifting treatments and fillers as the solution to facial skin problems, cosmetic acupuncture can also help with these issues.
Facial acupuncture consists of inserting ultrafine micro-needles into the skin on the face in order to prompt a healing response. While this type of acupuncture is often used to treat facial wellness and health concerns, it can be used for aesthetic purposes as well. It is also known as beauty acupuncture and it can target multiple aging factors such as loose or sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles and may increase the skin volume on the face.
More and more people are turning to beauty acupuncture as a healthy and reliable way to address their facial skin concerns. It’s a natural treatment method that is widely known to regenerate the skin. , Facial Acupuncture influences the skin health by using a deeper-reaching approach.
Facial acupuncture is often referred to as being a natural alternative to a face lifting treatments treatment. While they can produce similar results, they act differently in their approach. Cosmetic acupuncture, doesn’t inhibit the contraction of facial muscles. Instead, it works on stimulating the area to supply more blood flow to it. The goal is to encourage the growth of more collagen to plump up the skin in order to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
